Gareth Barry has become the all-time leading appearance maker in the Premier League.
The midfielder surpassed the record previously held by Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs by making his 633rd outing in England's top flight on Monday evening.
Barry was handed the captain's armband by West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis for tonight's match against Arsenal at the Emirates.
The 36-year-old, who has plied his trade at The Hawthorns since the summer, has racked up those appearances during spells at Aston Villa, Manchester City and Everton.
The former England international now tops the list of players who have featured in the most games in the league, with Giggs, Frank Lampard (609), David James (572) and the late Gary Speed (535) below him.
