West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino has hailed his teammates for their effort in the Baggies' 1-0 victory over Hull City.
Berahino scored the only goal of the game from an indirect free kick after Tigers keeper Allan McGregor had picked up a back-pass inside his own box in the 78th minute.
Albion held out for a crucial win in what was Tony Pulis's first league game in charge of the club, as his team were resilient in defence to earn their first clean sheet in five matches.
"It's just one of those decisions where you have to think quickly and today I just smashed it," Berahino told Sky Sports News. "It's impossible to try finesse from there.
"It's brilliant that we got the clean sheet, as we've been conceding soft goals, so credit to the team for putting that hard work in not to concede."
West Brom are 14th in the table following their win over Steve Bruce's side.
