West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke has conceded that his team were second best against West Ham United this afternoon.
An Andy Carroll brace separated by a Gary O'Neil strike sealed the points for the Hammers at Upton Park, with Graham Dorrans scoring the Baggies' solitary reply.
"We knew it would be a difficult game, and in the first half they were a little bit better than us," Clarke told BBC Sport. "The goals we conceded are not like us.
"We started the game quite well, but there are small margins in this game. After being 1-0 down, we had a difficult afternoon.
"There are not been too many times this season that we have felt like this. We have seven games left and we want to finish on a high."
The Midlands outfit are eighth in the Premier League.
