West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke fears that an injury picked up by Ben Foster in his side's 0-0 draw with Everton could be "serious".
Foster put in an impressive performance for the Baggies keeping them in the game at Goodison Park before he was forced to leave the pitch in the second half of the match and was replaced by Luke Daniels.
Clarke told BBC Sport: "It's obviously serious as he had to come off during the game and Ben is not the type of person to come off unless he has to.
"He said he felt something pop in his foot and said he was in a lot of pain. But until the medics look at it, it's only conjecture as to what the problem is.
"It was great for Luke [Daniels] to come on and I had no worries about him as I see him every day in training. It shows if you are patient you get your chances."
West Brom have picked up one point from their opening two Premier League games this season.
