West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has said that he was pleased to take all three points in their < ahref="/football/west-brom-albion/result/result-west-brom-add-to-palaces-woes_115265.html">2-0 victory over Crystal Palace, even though the performance was not "classic".
Goals either side of half time from Saido Berahino and Gareth McAuley gave the Baggies a comfortable victory, but Clarke admits that his side have played better this season.
"It wasn't a classic, but the most important thing today was always the result," Clarke told the club's official website. "It wasn't a great spectacle and the conditions were difficult.
"We did more than enough to win and the only disappointment was not getting the second goal earlier."
The win moves West Brom up to 11th place in the Premier League table.
