Darren Fletcher has revealed that Scotland teammate James Morrison played a big role in convincing him to join West Bromwich Albion.
The 30-year-old midfielder joined the Baggies on a free transfer from Manchester United on deadline day, ending his 13-year association with the Red Devils.
"James Morrison, who I know well from Scotland duty, has been pestering me for the last week, texting me constantly," he told reporters.
"He was giving me glowing references about how much I would love it here. It feels great."
Fletcher, who signed a two-and-a-half-year deal, could make his debut in Sunday's visit to Burnley.
