West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine hails his team following Sunday's 4-0 win over Burnley.

West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine has praised his team following Sunday's 4-0 win over Burnley in the Premier League.

The Baggies have now won their last two in the league, but Irvine has insisted that his players "will not get carried away" with their strong run of form.

"We were terrific. You can never be 100% satisfied and there was a little spell in the second half I did not like but only five or six minutes. The rest of the time I was delighted," he told Sky Sports News.

"It is bred from the work we have been doing and the way the players have applied themselves since day one. A few weeks ago I said we were closer to where we wanted to be. There is still work to do and tough games to come but it has been a great week and the players have got their reward.

"I believe we have got a great group of lads but I also know how hard it is going to be to win games in this league. We will not get carried away. We have had a good start, and we have to build on that."

Saido Berahino (2), Craig Dawson and Graham Dorrans were on the scoresheet for the home side.
