West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison has apologised for his gesture towards Stoke City supporters during the Baggies' victory at the weekend.
The 25-year-old appeared to display a fist-pumping signal towards the Potters fans after he scored in West Brom's 2-1 win at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
"It was a little bit 'heat of the moment' and I didn't mean anything by it," said Morrison. "I like to think I'm a nice guy on the pitch, so if anything comes of it I apologise."
While boss Roy Hodgson came to the defence of the Scotland international, the Football Association could still take action if deemed necessary.
