West Bromwich Albion defender Joleon Lescott has insisted that referee Michael Oliver was wrong to award a penalty against him in tonight's 0-0 draw at Everton.
Lescott was penalised for a handball inside the box shortly before the half-time break, only for Kevin Mirallas to drag the resulting spot kick wide of the mark.
Asked by Sky Sports News if he handled the ball intentionally, the Baggies centre-half and former Everton man said: "I don't think so.
"I'm going to say that, but I don't feel my hand moved towards the ball. They've made a decision, but thankfully it didn't cost us the match."
The Toffees dominated the encounter at Goodison Park by way of possession, but ultimately came up short in their bid for a first Premier League win in six attempts.
The Baggies stay 14th in the table, one point behind Roberto Martinez's side in 12th.
