Rickie Lambert has revealed that playing under Tony Pulis influenced his decision to sign for West Bromwich Albion.
The 33-year-old secured a £3m move to the Baggies from Liverpool after just one season on Merseyside where he struggled for regular playing time.
Lambert has admitted that there were other teams vying for his signature, but he chose West Brom because of his desire to work with Pulis.
He told Sky Sports News: "There were other clubs interested but from the get-go West Brom just stood out for me. Tony Pulis played a big part in that and I think he can be good for me and I can be good for West Brom."
Lambert scored twice on his debut for the Baggies in their friendly win over Bristol Rovers.
