West Bromwich Albion defender Joleon Lescott has insisted that his side still have work to do if they want to guarantee their Premier League status for another year.
Three defeats in a row have halted the club's improvement under Tony Pulis, and although the Baggies remain seven points above the relegation zone, Lescott believes that they still require results to ensure that they don't drop into the Championship.
The 32-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "We need more points – we can't rely on others not getting results. We need to dig in. The way it stands, it's in our hands and that's the way you want it to be.
"If you ask the teams below us which position they'd rather be in, they'd say ours. Hopefully we will be OK, but the nitty gritty is that it's not about performances or anything like that, it's about results."
West Brom's next fixture sees them make the trip to in-form Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
