Youssouf Mulumbu has revealed that he plans to speak to West Bromwich Albion over a potential appeal against his sending-off at the weekend.
The midfielder was shown a red card for a challenge on Joey Barton during the team's 4-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
The Congo DR international told Sky Sports News: "I just jumped higher than Joey Barton. I didn't even know what player it was.
"I just jumped higher than him and I didn't make any movement with my shoulder. I think it's harsh but that's how it is.
"I didn't make any movement to hurt anybody so we will speak with the coach and the club and see what is the best way to sort this out."
Barton had already admitted that he thought the referee's decision to send Mulumbu off was harsh.
