West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie has hailed his side's response to a difficult run of defeats after helping them to victory over Southampton.
The Nigerian scored twice to guide the Baggies past Saints on Monday night in an efficient display.
Odemwingie believes that West Brom showed their strength of character to respond after suffering last-gasp defeats to Manchester City and Newcastle United in recent weeks.
He told Sky Sports News: "After two difficult weeks we played very well and deserved at least a point from each game.
"We said now we need concentration until the last minute because we conceded unlucky goals in the last minute but I think this is a good response of a good team."
Steve Clarke's side continue their Premier League campaign with a trip to Wigan Athletic this weekend.
