Tony Pulis believes that Darren Fletcher has proved to be an inspired signing at West Bromwich Albion since joining from Manchester United earlier this season.
The 30-year-old made a switch to The Hawthorns on a free transfer in the mid-season window to bring his 13-year association with the Red Devils to an end.
West Brom have moved up the table under the guidance of Pulis, winning three of their last five games to climb to 13th place, and the Welshman believes that a lot of the recent improvement is down to the hard work of Fletcher.
"He's been a fantastic signing," Pulis told Sky Sports News following his side's 1-0 win over Stoke City. "He's a tremendous lad, his enthusiasm and energy levels are top class.
"He looks as sprightly as any 20 year old. He and [James] Morrison dominated the midfield. They've played together for Scotland and a lot of good stuff came from those two."
Next up for the buoyant Baggies is a trip to champions Manchester City next weekend.
