Tony Pulis has claimed that West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon can take the Premier League by storm after opening his account in today's 1-0 win at nine-man Stoke City.
The £12m signing from Zenit St Petersburg proved the hero by netting just before the break in a fiery clash at the Britannia that saw Ibrahim Afellay and Charlie Adam receive first-half red cards for the hosts.
Although Pulis says that the former Malaga hitman is still not completely fit, he expects the South American to eventually prove himself a hit in England.
"First half when the players are sent off I thought we did okay and Salomon scored a great goal," the Baggies coach told reporters.
"I'm really pleased with Salomon. Salomon is still not 100 per cent fit and he needs games, he needs time and he needs the opportunity to get used to football in England.
"His movement off the ball is first class and Lambert's pass and his finish was very, very good."
Albion sit 14th in the Premier League table following their first win.
