West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has hinted that all contract negotiations will be put on hold until any takeover talks have finished.
Chairman Jeremy Peace has stated his desire to sell the Baggies and is believed to have held discussions with a number of potential foreign buyers.
However, Pulis has suggested that those ongoing discussions will mean that contract talks with a number of players are delayed.
He is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "What we have to do is find out what's going on in respect of the sale of the club. We need to know which direction it is going in because there are lots of variations going on behind the scenes.
"I have spoken to the chairman, who has been very open and honest about things, but it's very difficult at times for players and it's difficult for me as a manager.
"It's difficult for supporters when these situations happen but everybody has got to stay nice and cool and calm."
West Brom are currently 13th in the Premier League.
