Tony Pulis has singled out Rickie Lambert for praise after he helped West Bromwich Albion claim a 1-1 draw with West Ham United.
Lambert came off the bench to make an impact when his shot struck Winston Reid on the way past Adrian to cancel out Mauro Zarate's free kick at Upton Park.
Despite often being used as a substitute since arriving from Liverpool in the summer, Lambert's displays and approach behind the scenes have impressed Pulis.
"I've got huge respect for Rickie, both as a footballer and a professional," the Baggies boss told the club's website.
"His ability is first class and so is his attitude. The lads love him and appreciate what he brings. Of course he's got the hump with me for not picking him but I expect that.
"But in every minute of training you cannot fault him and the way he goes about his business. It's been the same throughout his career and he is hugely respected, rightly so."
West Brom sit 13th in the Premier League.
