West Bromwich Albion reportedly have no interest in pursuing Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy with a view to appointing him as their next manager.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach has been repeatedly linked with the vacant hotseat at The Hawthorns, but according to The Mirror, the club do not consider him a candidate for the position.
West Brom CEO Mark Jenkins is said to be planning to interview four or five candidates for the post, with the likes of Michael Appleton, Derek McInnes, Graham Potter, Dean Smith and Craig Shakespeare rumoured to be in the frame.
The Midlands outfit are seeking a new manager following the recent dismissal of Alan Pardew, who left West Brom with the club on the brink of relegation to the Championship.
Darren Moore has been placed in charge of the first team on an interim basis.
