West Bromwich Albion have reportedly completed the loan signing of centre-back Ali Gabr from Egyptian side Zamalek.
Sky Sports News says that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs, which includes the possibility of a permanent £1.5m transfer at the end of the season.
Baggies boss Alan Pardew signs the potential deal as Jonny Evans, who has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Manchester City, allegedly draws nearer to leaving The Hawthorns.
The source adds, however, that neither side has made contact with the former Manchester United man since the opening week of the January transfer window.
The 31-year-old is reportedly the perfect solution to the situation, according to Pardew, who could confirm a permanent move for the centre-back should Jonny Evans continue to be linked with other clubs in the summer.
