New West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has revealed that he would like Jonas Olsson to remain at the club.
The Swedish defender, who has 12 months remaining on his contract at the Hawthorns, has been heavily linked with a switch to West Ham United following the conclusion of Euro 2012.
However, Clarke is hoping that he can convince one of his "key players" to stay put.
"Ideally for me I want to keep all the contracted players and I'd like to bring in another two or three players that can help me," Clarke told reporters.
"Jonas is a key player for the team and the club, and I will do what I can to keep him here."
Olsson joined the Baggies in 2008 from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen.
