Crystal Palace are reportedly considering ending their efforts to complete a January deal for West Bromwich Albion defender Nathan Ferguson.
With less than six months remaining on his contract, the 19-year-old has emerged as a target for a number of Premier League clubs in recent weeks.
As it stands, it appears that Palace are perfectly placed to win the race for the full-back as they bid to bring in a long-term replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
However, according to the Evening Standard, a £4m deal may be shelved because of an issue with the youngster's medical.
The report suggests that Ferguson is carrying a minor knee problem, leaving Palace to consider whether they should take a risk on the player.
Ferguson has made a total of 21 starts in the Championship this season.
