Wigan Athletic have reportedly rejected a second offer from West Bromwich Albion for Callum McManaman.
The Baggies are believed to have failed with a £4m bid for the Scottish international winger earlier this week.
Sky Sports News claims that Albion have returned with an improved sum, but have again been knocked back by the Championship strugglers, who are believed to be holding out for £6m for the 23-year-old.
New West Brom boss Tony Pulis admitted after their 0-0 Premier League draw at Everton on Monday that offers were on the table for several players as he attempts to ensure that the club avoid relegation.
A wideman is thought to be one of his priorities, with Tottenham Hotspur's Aaron Lennon and Nottingham Forest's Michail Antonio apparent alternatives to McManaman, who has scored 17 goals in 118 games for Wigan.
