West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has confirmed that the club will hold off contract talks with Gabriel Tamas until the summer.
The Romanian defender, 29, recently claimed that he was keen to sign a new deal with the Baggies.
Tamas's current contract expires at the end of the season, but West Brom have the option to extend it by a year.
"Gabi is one of a number of players whose situations we will look at at the end of the season," Clarke is quoted as saying by the Express & Star.
"There are no talks with Gabi. We have talks ongoing with one or two players right now but you can't talk to everybody at the same time. Gabi will be addressed at the end of the season."
Tamas joined West Brom from Auxerre in summer 2010 following a loan spell at the club.
