West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has hailed his side's "fantastic" start to the season.
The Hammers beat Cardiff City 2-0 with goals from Joe Cole and Kevin Nolan and had numerous other chances.
"It is a fantastic start, it was great entertainment from the fans and a really positive display by ourselves," he told reporters.
"We were probably a little disappointed it was only 1-0, then we had to work it out because Cardiff changed the way they played.
"It was excellent and just what we were looking for and at the defensive end we were so good."
West Ham travel to Newcastle United next weekend.
