Slaven Bilic has praised Sam Allardyce for having him a "good team" following West Ham United's 2-0 win at Arsenal in their opening game of the new Premier League season.
Cheikhou Kouyate headed the visitors into a half-time lead before Mauro Zarate doubled the lead on 57 minutes, with the Gunners unable to muster up a response.
Bilic told BBC Sport: "We are all very pleased and it is great start for us. Not only for the three points but points against a team that are the title contenders.
"If you add to that a London derby, it makes it a even bigger win. This is very special. I am very proud of the second half performance.
"Sam Allardyce left me a good team and left me some quality in the side. We are still short of a few players but we have a chance to do a good job in the Premier League."
West Ham have climbed to third in the Premier League table after their first game.
