West Ham United defender Winston Reid has said that the points being shared was a fair result after his side drew 1-1 at home to Everton.
Manuel Lanzini put the Hammers in front midway through the first half before Romelu Lukaku leveled for the visitors, and Reid felt that it was an open game which his team tried their best to win.
Reid told Sky Sports News: "It was an open game, end-to-end, we tried to go for the winner, they had chances and we had chances so 1-1 was probably a fair result.
"They hit us on the counter and they played a great ball through me and [James] Tomkins at the back and Lukaku likes to score against us and he did it again unfortunately.
"We tried to come here and play and try to get the three points but it was not to be today and we will take a point."
The point keeps West Ham fifth in the Premier League table but they are now three points off the Champions League places.
