West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has claimed that his side are too good to be involved in a relegation battle this season.
The Hammers have won just four of their 16 outings so far this term to leave themselves 15th in the Premier League table, four points clear of the relegation zone.
However, Carroll believes that there is too much quality in Slaven Bilic's squad for West Ham to drop back down to the Championship and is confident that they will begin to climb the table sooner rather than later.
"I wouldn't say we are [in a relegation battle]. We've got too many good players and staff," he told talkSPORT.
"Obviously, the manager has had some people giving him stick as well as we've had, but I think we've got such a good dressing room with the staff and the players that I don't think there's any chance of us being in a battle at the bottom."
West Ham are currently eight points and seven places worse off than at the same stage of last season.
