Wigan Athletic forward Mauro Boselli has claimed that he is determined to prove to manager Roberto Martinez that he is worthy of a regular spot in the team.
The 27-year-old is expected to feature against Bradford City in the League Cup this evening as the Latics push for a place in the quarter-finals.
"We have to keep working hard now that we have started so well in the cup," Boselli told the club's official website.
"We have a very good squad and the cup competitions are a great way to show ourselves off to the manager and fight for a place every week.
"It will be great to play at home in front of our fans in the cup because they have had to travel quite far already to support us in the competition and we feel we owe them a very good performance and result."
Boselli has racked up five goals in three appearances for the North West side.
