Roberto Martinez has reiterated his desire to remain the manager of Wigan Athletic.
Reports had linked the Spaniard with a summer exit from the DW Stadium, regardless of which division the club is playing in.
However, Martinez has revealed that he would only consider leaving if chairman Dave Whelan stepped down from his position.
"I will only leave if the chairman decides to go because we have an agreement that I will stay here and finish the project here," Martinez told The People. "I enjoy working with him and we have a great relationship based on respect.
"It is true that having a chairman like the one we have got brings stability to the club and that helps a manager to do what he needs to do and that is an advantage."
Martinez's side take on Arsenal tomorrow night.
