A strong second-half performance from Wigan Athletic has seen Uwe Rosler's men earn a 4-1 victory away at Nottingham Forest in the Championship this afternoon.
Wigan were the first of the sides to create an opportunity. Martyn Waghorn shifted the ball from his feet before unloading a long-range effort towards goal, which flew wide to the keeper's right.
Simox Cox wasted a great chance for the hosts after 10 minutes, as the striker lashed wide from the centre of the box.
Emmerson Boyce produced a good through-ball for Wigan striker Nicky Maynard, but the on-loan Cardiff frontman somehow dragged his shot wide of the target.
Chris McCann almost put Athletic ahead before the break, but his left-footed shot from the centre of the box was kept out of the bottom corner by Karl Darlow.
His miss didn't matter, however, as Waghorn converted from the centre of the box to give Wigan a 1-0 lead going into half time.
The advantage wasn't to last too long, however, as Forest equalised in the 54th minute, with Cox beating his man before delivering for Jamie Paterson to lash the ball high into the centre of goal.
The Latics found themselves back in front in the 65th minute, thanks to defender Boyce, who latched onto Waghorn's pass with his head to nod into the net from a few yards out.
Wigan secured their away victory in the 71st minute when James McArthur nailed home a good finish from distance.
Jordi Gomez added the icing on the cake in the final minutes of the game, with the midfielder crashing home a great finish into the top corner from outside the box to earn the visitors all three points.
