Wigan Athletic have signed Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Joel Robles on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old, who has represented Spain at Under-21 level, has been on trial with the club in recent weeks.
The goalkeeper will be expected to challenge Ali Al-Habsi at the DW Stadium.
Robles spent part of last season on loan at Rayo Vallecano.
