Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe has revealed that he always remained confident that he would bring an end to his recent scoring drought.
Before his side's 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town, Afobe had only netted once - a penalty against Bolton Wanderers - since August 19, but the England Under-21 international broke his duck with two goals against the Terriers at Molineux.
The 22-year-old told Sky Sports News: "As an attacking player, you always want to score goals but I wasn't worried about it.
"I have been working hard and I haven't changed my routine. I have been doing extra finishing after training and it fell to me today, and luckily, I put them in."
Victory for Wolves has moved them into sixth position in the Championship standings ahead of the rest of Saturday afternoon's fixtures.
