Benik Afobe has claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers would be able to finish in the top half of the Premier League next season even if they do not sign any new players in this summer's transfer window.
Championship winners Wolves will be looking to move past the 100-point mark for the 2017-18 campaign when they travel to Sunderland in their final league match of the season this weekend.
Afobe has claimed that the Premier League 'is not as strong as it has been over the last 10 years', and has insisted that Wolves would be able to "finish in the top 10" next term.
"Even with the squad we have now I think we'd finish in the top 10," Afobe told the Express & Star. "I don't think the Premier League is as strong as it has been over the last 10 years or so.
"The togetherness of this team, the way the manager sets us up, the way we train, the support we have from the fans and staff behind closed doors, it's great. With more additions I think this squad can be established in the Premier League."
Afobe is currently on loan at Wolves from Bournemouth, and the 25-year-old admitted towards the end of last month that he was unsure of his future.
