Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll has taken comfort in the 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers by claiming that his side "went down fighting".
The Robins had initially fought their way back into the game through Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, but Wolves defender Matt Doherty struck an 85th-minute winner to deny the hosts a hard-fought point at Ashton Gate.
O'Driscoll told reporters: "After the equaliser I was looking for us to keep the momentum up and we had a go.
"But you can't give someone like Kevin Doyle that much room. We might as well not have turned up.
"But if we're going to lose, I'd rather us go down with a fight and that's what we did in the second half."
The Robins travel to MK Dons in League One next Saturday.
