Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has said that James McFadden is close to signing for the club.
The 28-year-old striker has been on trial at Molineux and it is believed that a deal is currently being discussed with his representatives.
"He has looked good in training and I am delighted with that part of it. I want to sign him," said McCarthy. "Hopefully he will be playing here soon."
The Scotland international has previously played for Motherwell, Everton and Birmingham City.
