Birmingham City have reportedly rejected an enquiry from Wolverhampton Wanderers for Marlon King.
Recent speculation had claimed that leading goalscorer King had been made available on a free transfer by the Blues, who are looking to ease their wage bill amid financial problems.
However, Birmingham dismissed an approach from Wolves because they do not want to lose 32-year-old to a Championship relegation rival, according to the Express & Star.
The report has also claimed that Wolves have failed with a £2m offer for Birmingham defender Curtis Davies.
It is believed that Davies is also of interest to Premier League side Norwich City.
