Yeovil Town have gone in at half time on level terms with Coventry City, but may feel that they finished the opening period the stronger at Huish Park.
After a cagey start, the first chance for either side fell to the Sky Blues when Gary Madine headed over following good work on the flank by Reda Johnson.
Coventry continued to enjoy the greater attacking opportunities as Andy Webster saw his own effort blocked, before Jordan Willis fired over from a free kick on the edge of the Yeovil box.
However, the visitors were nearly made to pay for their misses when Jamar Loza found space to shoot, only to see his strike blocked by the City defence.
Kieffer Moore and Alex Smith both had chances to put the hosts in front before the break, but neither could find the target.
