York City and Fleetwood Town have headed into half time level following a goalless first half in the rearranged first leg of their League Two playoff semi-final.
The home side applied pressure early on as Ryan Brobbel crossed the ball in for Calvin Andrew, but the striker's effort was blocked.
On-loan keeper Nick Pope had to remain alert as the visitors started to see more of the ball, with Antoni Sarcevic unleashing a powerful strike from the edge of the box, but the 22-year-old stopper was able to tip it wide.
Lanre Oyebanjo tried a hopeful shot from 20 yards out for Nigel Worthington's side, but his strike was always rising.
Pope was tested again before the break when David Ball found space in the box, but Keith Lowe managed to head the ball back to the keeper, while another attempt from Ball a few moments later went wide.
Fleetwood continued to create the majority of the chances in the final 10 minutes before the break, but Matty Blair missed a chance to give the visitors the lead against his former club when he struck the ball wide just before half time.
