York City striker Wes Fletcher has been sidelined for six weeks with a torn hamstring.
The 24-year-old suffered the problem on Saturday during his side's 2-1 defeat to AFC Wimbledon in League Two.
Fletcher has scored seven goals in 32 games for the Minstermen this season.
"It's disappointing news to find out that Wes will be missing for the next six weeks," manager Russ Wilcox told the club's official website. "He has been outstanding recently, scoring three goals in four games and looking a handful for defences. After finding form, confidence and goals, he will be a big loss."
York continue their League Two campaign this weekend when they host Carlisle United.
