York City have publicly invited applications for the newly-vacant manager's job.
The League Two outfit need a new coach after sacking Russ Wilcox following nine games without a win.
It appears as though the Minstermen are widening their search as they have sent a request via their official website for applications.
A statement read: "Once applications have been reviewed, the board of directors will embark on an interview process. The announcement of the appointment of a new manager will then be made in due course. We would appreciate your patience and support for the team during this period."
York are currently three points above the relegation zone.
