Javi Garcia has insisted that there is little to split the four teams in Zenit St Petersburg's Champions League group.
Zenit opened up their campaign earlier this month with a 2-0 win over Benfica, while Monaco recorded a 1-0 victory at the expense of Bayer Leverkusen.
Ahead of side's home encounter with Monaco on matchday two this Wednesday, Garcia has expressed the importance of Zenit claiming all three points.
"We started the group stage brightly with a victory in Lisbon and we're determined to keep on fighting at the same level," the 27-year-old told UEFA's official website.
"By winning against Monaco we'd take a big step forward, but obviously it will be difficult to do so. We have an even group, where each club is capable of beating the others and taking first place."
Zenit have never previously lost a home encounter against a French club.
