Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel has claimed that Red Bull will provide his team with close competition in tomorrow's Hungarian Grand Prix.
The German qualified third for the race, one place ahead of Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo, and behind the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
With Mercedes expected to dominate the race, Vettel is likely to be involved in a close fight for third.
He is quoted as saying by Autosport: "Red Bull have made a step closer to ultimately Mercedes. If you look at the gap they had and the gap they have now, they are closer.
"It was evident in Silverstone so we expected they would have strong weekend and we expect them to be strong tomorrow. But we managed to out-qualify them which means we are quicker."
Vettel spent six seasons with Red Bull between 2009 and 2014, and won four successive world titles.
