Jenson Button has described his ascent to pole position for tomorrow's Belgian Grand Prix as "emotional".
The McLaren driver posted three strong qualifying times to clinch his front-row spot at Spa - his first since Monaco in 2009.
"This is close to winning a GP for me it's been so long," said Button. "It's been quite a long time since my last pole.
"It's a bit emotional; some days have been good over the last few years but Saturdays have not gone perfectly. It was a great qualifying."
Button will be looking to secure his 14th race win tomorrow.
