Lewis Hamilton has claimed that a night race in Russia could be one of the highlights of the Formula 1 season.
The McLaren driver appeared in a motorsport show in Moscow last weekend and admitted that he is excited by the prospect of Russia joining the list of race destinations in 2014.
Singapore is the only race that is currently held at night during the season but it has been reported that a racetrack could be designed around the Kremlin in Moscow.
Hamilton told RIA: "I've seen some images of Moscow at night and it looks absolutely spectacular, so I think having a night race here one day as we do in Singapore would be one of the highlights of our season."
The current plan is to hold the Russian Grand Prix at the coastal resort of Sochi.
