McLaren's engine supplier Honda have revealed that they are finally able to focus fully on improving the team's performance.
The British team have struggled badly this season as they currently have just five points in the constructors' championship, while reliability issues continue to plague them.
However, chief motorsport officer Yasuhisa Arai is confident that they have finally sorted out their technical bugs and can now switch to increasing power.
He told Sky Sports News: "The reliability is almost fixed, but everyday there are small problems that pop up, but our main concern was to finish. Now we turn to the power side to get more competitiveness."
The next race is in Hungary in three weeks' time.
