McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh has revealed he hopes several 'noticeable updates' will improve the team's performance in Germany this weekend.
McLaren witnessed drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button finish only eighth and tenth respectively at the last race in Silverstone, but Whitmarsh is hoping updates to their car will help them close the gap.
Whitmarsh said: "Silverstone was a difficult weekend for us, but we are determined to narrow the gap to the championship leaders before the start of the summer break.
"There is a huge resolve within the operation to ensure that our aggressive development strategy is upheld across the summer."
The Hungarian Grand Prix will follow next weekend before the Formula 1 season halts for a month-long break.
