Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton is confident that he can still win a grand prix during the 2013 season.
The Brit is yet to finish first at a circuit since joining the Silver Arrows in the winter, having recorded two third-placed finishes as well as twice coming fifth.
However, the 28-year-old is hopeful that he can still claim a spot on the top of the podium during the campaign.
"I am hopeful we can win this year, particularly as we have things coming in the pipeline with upgrades and improvements for the car," Hamilton told Sky Sports News.
"In some places the degradation isn't going to be as bad [as in Bahrain] and I'm confident we can stay out front."
Hamilton scored his first Mercedes pole position earlier this month in Shanghai.
