Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel has stolen the early advantage over championship rival Fernando Alonso by finishing fastest in the first practice session ahead of Sunday's Indian Grand Prix.
Vettel goes into the race with a six-point lead over Ferrari's Alonso.
The two-time world champion finished three tenths of a second ahead of McLaren's Jenson Button, with Alonso third fastest.
McLaren's Lewis Hamilton was fourth-quickest ahead of Red Bull's Mark Webber, with Force India's Paul di Resta in 12th place.
