Viktor Hovland has remarkably hit a hole-in-one on a Par 4 during his final practice round ahead of the 2023 Ryder Cup.
Players from the two teams have been going around the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in groups of four as part of their preparation for the 44th staging of the event.
While those particular rounds are usually low-key, Hovland caused the biggest roar of the week thus far as he holed his 302-yard tee shot at the fifth hole.
As is the case with a number of holes this week, the tees have been brought forward to encouraging aggressive play, and organisers got their reward for the decision that has been enforced on the fifth.
Hovland is expected to be named in the opening-session foursomes on Friday morning when the picks are revealed at the opening ceremony later on Thursday.
