Luke Donald has claimed that he is happy with his game ahead of this week's British Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
The world number one is searching for his maiden major tournament victory and admits that he will have to play with no fear if he is to triumph in Lancashire.
Donald said: "I have good feelings about where my game is.
"I guess we all have free will, so it's about going out there and controlling how you feel.
"In the past feelings have too much control of me."
Donald's status as the world's best golfer is under threat this week if his closest rivals can claim victory at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
